I love reading, especially non-fiction, taking walks, spending time with my family and baking. Coming from the UK, I do pride myself in making good scones (pronounced “skon” – not “skone”).
My family and I moved to Canada in 2011 with 4 suitcases and a lot of determination to make our new life work, and I have to say, we did what we said we’d do. We live in such an amazing country and I’m so proud to be a Canadian. Newcastle, England will always be where my roots are, and apart from missing my family, I do miss a few things like my Mam’s Sunday Dinner, walks along the beach (yes, we do have amazing beaches and Dairy Milk chocolate!) Some of the things I love about Canada are the seasons, the people and Blizzards (the Dairy Queen ones, not the weather). 😊
I am a people person through and through. I show kindness and compassion in and outside of my work every day. I believe making a positive impact in someone’s day can go a long way.
